Engineering For Kids is the brainchild of educator Dori Roberts. She has an extensive background in math and technology education, and has even taught high school engineering for 11 years. During her teaching career, she felt a dire need for math, science and engineering programs. To fill this void, she began an after school club whose members participated in a number of engineering and science-based competitions.
Engineering For Kids began when Dori Roberts, founder and CEO, noticed that there was a lack of engineering programs in the area to enroll her then 6 and 8 year old children. Dori opened her first location in 2009 and began franchising her business in 2011. Since then, Engineering For Kids has opened 145 locations in 21 countries.
